Description

Full-time data engineer responsible for designing and maintaining ETL data pipelines: pulling and parsing data from APIs and downloaded data stores, populating normalized relational databases, and calculating cached views (often NoSQL) to power data products and services. Work on a stack that currently includes Python, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Airflow and various AWS services. Collaborate with a team located between Berlin and New York City. Minimum qualifications include at least 4 years of software engineering experience (Python or JavaScript) with at least 2 years in a data-focused role, expertise in building data pipelines and ETL design, mastery of relational and non-relational databases, and experience building and maintaining a production data warehouse. Desirable qualifications: experience with Apache Airflow, AWS tools, git, Linux, Spark or Hadoop for large dataset transformations, and familiarity with Python data science tools (e.g., pandas).
