Founding backend/systems engineer role to own large parts of the backend and help scale battery simulation and optimization software. Work includes building APIs and data models for simulation and optimization workflows, FastAPI and async Python development, Supabase/Postgres schema and performance work, async/concurrency and resource limits, job orchestration for running and tracking simulations, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing, debugging). The team values AI-assisted development using LLMs and coding agents while maintaining tests and architecture responsibility.
