Atom Computing

Atom Computing builds quantum computers using arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to implement the quantum computing platform, working across the full stack to deliver platforms and applications giving customers access to quantum computers. Responsibilities include building public API features and open-source SDKs for running customer jobs on quantum hardware and simulators; developing infrastructure for automating system tuning and calibration; scheduling execution and analyzing results of quantum algorithms; and collaborating with Quantum Engineers to write idiomatic, tested, extensible code for experiments and algorithms. Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, this role spans quantum job compilation, quantum error correction, instrument calibration, and experimental data management. Candidates may be considered for locations in Boulder, CO and Austin, TX, and under exceptional circumstances the position may be fully remote.
