Description

Amentum is seeking a Diver to support the AUTEC program on Andros Island, Bahamas. The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) is a major range and test facility providing deep and shallow water test and training environments. Must obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). Responsibilities include conducting strictly limited “No Decompression” dives to a depth no greater than 100 feet using open-circuit SCUBA; recovering, inspecting, repairing, installing, and removing devices from USN marine vessels and structures; operating and maintaining diving air systems per OSHA standards; operating diving equipment; operating forklift and overhead cranes per OSHA/NAVFAC standards; operating underwater camera/video equipment; operating the dive boat and support equipment; and performing ordnance/target handling, transporting, and recovery operations. Other duties as assigned. Required: 4 years related experience in military diving or OSHA commercial air diving or related environment; high school diploma/GED; ADCI certification or equivalent; USN certified small boat handler or civilian equivalent; familiarity with SIMRAD GPS and transducer systems; ability to troubleshoot and repair small boat issues while underway; ability to obtain Certified NAVFAC forklift and overhead crane operator within six months; working knowledge of USN technical documentation and reporting; ability to build dive plans, calculate dive tables/repetitive dives, record dive profiles, and recognize unsafe conditions; ability to qualify as an Ordnance Team Member within six months; ability to reside in an austere work environment with limited/no medical facilities; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret clearance. Preferred: ADCI Supervisor, OTS technician, VIP inspector; Red Cross First Aid/CPR; certified forklift/overhead crane, tractor trailer; underwater photography experience; USN documentation knowledge.
