Description
On any given day at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, we’re reimagining ways to create magical viewing experiences for the world’s most beloved stories while also transforming Disney’s media business for the future. This role sits within Content Operations and the Live Orchestration Department at DE&E Technology, responsible for successfully delivering Disney’s entertainment and sports content through a global content supply chain and managing technology operations across Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The Streaming Media Assistant is a key member of a daily operations team responsible for delivering high profile media products to market. Streaming Media Assistants provide live, hands-on operational and procedural support for partner products, including system health monitoring, routine issue mitigation, and live and VOD streaming media orchestration using proprietary software. Responsibilities include following operational procedures and raising awareness of issues, executing defined processes to validate quality and availability of live content streams, executing system health monitoring and live and VOD streaming media orchestration using tools & software, and recording steps to troubleshoot workflows when issues arise. Basic qualifications include flexible hours (nights, weekends, holidays), strong understanding of computers and applications, attention to detail, communication skills, organizational skills, ability to learn quickly and adapt, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include experience in digital media and online organizations, familiarity with streaming and broadcast media, particularly HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), teamwork and strong work ethic, and ability to troubleshoot efficiently. 1-2 years of relevant working experience is preferred.
