Senior/Staff-level Product Engineering role at Oaktree for building a next-generation platform for the credit business (private credit included). Newly formed Product Engineering group modernizing practices, architecture, tooling, and culture, including standing up a new CI/CD system and accelerating release cycles. Work includes data-intensive applications across the full stack: ingestion, transformation, analytics, and tools for investment professionals. Hands-on, code-every-day role; no traditional PMs—direct collaboration with business stakeholders, owning priorities, and shipping end-to-end. Looking for 10+ years owning production data-intensive systems, strong CS fundamentals (data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, performance), deep expertise in data modeling and pipeline architecture for large-volume data processing, Python plus a statically typed/compiled language (C#/.NET, C++, Java, Scala, Go), cloud-native experience (Azure preferred/used), comfort with ambiguity and stakeholder engagement, and practical interest in applying generative AI across engineering and product workflows. Internal title is Vice President, but substance is a Senior/Staff Engineer IC role.
