Description
The City of Pullman Civil Service Commission is recruiting an independent contractor for the Secretary and Chief Examiner. The role performs supervisory and professional functions necessary for administering and directing the City Civil Service Commission in accordance with Civil Service Rules and Regulations and state law. Duties include evaluating/supervising applicant evaluations, determining examinations and weighting, supervising examination administration, coordinating eligibility/admissibility decisions, recommending certification of successful candidates, attending Commission meetings and recording votes/minutes, using technology systems to communicate and manage work, maintaining reliable attendance, protecting confidential information, complying with policies/rules/ethics laws, and communicating clearly with individuals and groups. Work schedule is unpredictable and may include up to eight hours or more in a single day; must meet deadlines.
