Description

CentralReach is a leading provider of autism and IDD care software for ABA, multidisciplinary therapy, and special education. The AI team operates as an AI Foundry, building, validating, and scaling AI-enabled product capabilities. This hands-on role (senior-most engineer on the AI team) sets the technical bar for how AI-powered product experiences are designed, built, evaluated, and operated. Responsibilities include serving as technical lead for AI application development, designing and implementing core AI application components and integration layers, mentoring AI engineers, establishing quality thresholds and release criteria, and implementing safeguards and safe failure modes (fallbacks, confidence thresholds, user controls, content filtering, transparency). Build end-to-end AI-powered product capabilities including LLM-enabled workflows, RAG, summarization, classification, and automation patterns; build shared libraries/components for AI application development; ensure production readiness (reliability, observability, performance tuning, incident response); collaborate with platform engineering and DevOps for CI/CD consistency, scaling strategies, cost controls for inference, secrets management, and secure data handling. Partner with AI product builders and workflow product owners to translate prototypes into production, and integrate AI capabilities into core platforms. Lead strategic direction by prioritizing investments that increase delivery velocity and reduce maintenance through reusable components and standardized patterns, evaluate build-vs-buy for AI tooling, and translate emerging techniques into safe, valuable product capabilities.
