Airtable's mission is to democratize software creation by enabling anyone to build tools that meet their unique needs. Unlike single-purpose apps, we think of Airtable as a toolkit of building blocks that people repurpose to create their own applications. The best-known part of our product is a real-time, collaborative database, but we have layered automations and user-defined interfaces on top of that foundation, enabling our users to create full-fledged applications on top of our platform. Building a database is hard, and Airtable's rich data model and API presents some unique challenges for correctness.
