Factor House builds tooling for distributed systems engineers. We are an independent, tech-focused company with customers all around the world, our flagship product is Kpow for Apache Kafka. We are looking for a product-focused software engineer to join our team in Melbourne. As a part of our team you will contribute to the support and development of Kpow and new products in the distributed systems space. Our software is written in Clojure (full stack) and experience on the JVM and and/or with React is preferred. Core technologies and frameworks that we work with include Kafka, Flink, AWS/ECS/EKS, Kube/Helm, Terraform/Docker, and of course lots of Clojure/CLJS/CLJC. We operate a warm, engaging, respectful team environment. You will be working with experienced engineers with a focus on low-process, quality delivery. We love to ship features to our users and win new customers. This is a Melbourne-based position with flexible WFH options, expect 1-2 days week in-office initially.
