Role details
Responsibilities
- Be the founding engineer with deep influence over systems and architecture
- Own the entire stack from the database through geostatistical backend services to 3D rendering on the client side
- Work on agentic systems and orchestrating agents to complete complex discrete tasks
- Own the codebase and the systems that support the software (project management, CI/CD, monitoring)
Requirements
- Fluent in TypeScript and Python
- Framework/tooling agnostic (currently using Next.js, Supabase, Cesium)
- Understanding of the internals of things like Claude Code
- Broader understanding of orchestrating agents to complete complex discrete tasks
- Strong engineering fundamentals around architecture, systems and security
- Ownership of the codebase and supporting systems (project management, CI/CD, monitoring)
- Must live in Canada and be eligible to work in Canada without a visa requirement

We’re building a geologic modelling software based on reasoning to help mining and mineral exploration companies work faster. Currently in active fundraising. Role: Founding engineer on the team, joining co-founder (Neil, CEO) and CTO (Jeff, CTO) as first employee. You’ll have deep influence over systems and architecture with ownership through the entire stack from the database, through geostatistical backend services, through 3D rendering on the client side. Work rooted in agentic systems; understanding internals of things like Claude Code and orchestrating agents to complete complex discrete tasks is important. You: Fluent in Typescript, Python, and framework/tooling agnostic (using NextJS, Supabase, Cesium). Eager to learn about mining domain knowledge. Ownership of the codebase and systems that support the software (project management, CI/CD, monitoring). Strong engineering fundamentals around architecture, systems and security.
