Smarkets

Smarkets is a technology-first betting exchange hiring multiple engineering roles to work onsite in London (St. Katharine Docks) and a new Downtown LA office. The platform is focused on low-latency, highly concurrent systems and a modern web interface. The stack is predominantly Python, Erlang (being replaced by C++), and JavaScript/React, with heavy use of asynchronous programming, REST, and an AWS production environment. Roles include front-end, backend, data, low-latency C++, security, mobile, and generalist engineers.
