Prometheus Research, an IQVIA business, is looking for a senior development operations engineer to accelerate the transition of our co-located environment to the cloud. We are looking for someone with a holistic view of development -- from project inception through operations as being parts of a cohesive and iterative process. Tight work with our system administration team and our development teams is necessary, helping us create integrated, cross-disciplinary workflows and collaboration. It’s important to be practiced with cloud computing and system administration. We use Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), as well as Google-managed services such as Cloud SQL and Cloud Run. While experience with Google Cloud Platform is preferred, those with prior experience with Amazon or Microsoft are encouraged to apply. Concrete experience with authentication, monitoring and logging is needed. Performance evaluation, cost estimation, and tuning are important to us. We use Python/React/PostgreSQL for our core application platform. Finally, since our work is in a heavily regulated environment, excellent documentation skills are essential.
