Approximate yearly compensation (75th percentile target) varies by country: Greece 34,000 - 46,600 EUR; Hungary 15,000,000 - 19,600,000 HUF; Italy 49,100 - 67,100 EUR; Poland 260,000 - 330,000 PLN; Portugal 44,500 - 59,700 EUR; Romania 178,000 - 221,000 RON; Spain 49,000 - 68,000 EUR; UK 56,200 - 74,000 GBP. Compensation for other countries discussed in first interview. Role details
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end flow of hardware products from manufacturers to distributors across multiple regions
- Place and manage manufacturer purchase orders and track them through to delivery
- Coordinate directly with manufacturers on lead times, production schedules, shipment planning, and day-to-day issues
- Support distributors with back-office tasks: order coordination, delivery updates, and issue resolution
- Manage order flow, inventory updates, and data in NetSuite
- Handle partial deliveries, stock allocation decisions, and inventory coordination across regions
- Coordinate global logistics with freight forwarders and logistics partners
- Run the RMA process end to end, including coordination, root-cause tracking, and reconciliation with manufacturers
- Analyse forecast data and inventory levels to support purchasing decisions on when and how much to order
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures and supply chain documentation
- Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve the supply chain as the company scales
- Work cross-functionally with the Hardware, Commercial, and Finance teams to keep everything aligned
Requirements
- 4+ years in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or operations with direct, hands-on ownership
- Direct experience coordinating with manufacturers: placing and managing purchase orders, working with them on lead times and production schedules
- Experience with factories in China (or elsewhere in Asia) is strongly preferred
- Cultural fluency communicating with international manufacturing partners, particularly in Asia
- A practical grasp of inventory management, stock allocation, and partial deliveries
- Experience coordinating international shipments and logistics
- Experience with an ERP system (NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or similar) and confidence placing POs and managing deliveries within one
- A track record of bringing structure: documenting processes, writing SOPs, improving workflows
- Ability to operate independently with minimal structure and high ownership in a fast-moving environment
- An analytical mindset comfortable using reporting and forecast data to drive decisions
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills

Description
Nabu Casa is the organisation behind Home Assistant, the world's largest free and open-source smart home platform. The role is Supply Chain Coordinator / Supply & Logistics Coordinator to own the end-to-end flow of Home Assistant hardware products from manufacturers to distributors across multiple regions and ultimately to homes. Key responsibilities include owning purchase orders, coordinating with manufacturers, managing distributor back-office tasks, handling inventory and RMA (including root-cause tracking and reconciliation), coordinating global logistics with freight forwarders/logistics partners, analysing forecast data and inventory levels for purchasing decisions, creating and maintaining SOPs and supply chain documentation, identifying bottlenecks, and working cross-functionally with Hardware, Commercial, and Finance. Reports to VP Commercial (Norway). Requirements include 4+ years experience in supply chain/logistics/purchasing/operations with hands-on ownership; direct experience coordinating with manufacturers (purchase orders, lead times, production schedules) and strong preference for experience with factories in China/Asia; cultural fluency with international partners (particularly Asia); practical inventory management (stock allocation, partial deliveries); coordinating international shipments and logistics; ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or similar) and confidence placing POs and managing deliveries; ability to document processes and improve workflows; ability to operate independently with minimal structure; analytical mindset using reporting/forecast data; strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
