Responsibilities include maintaining a Django codebase, internal tooling, building small green-field proofs of concept for clients, and light DevOps tasks. The position is ideal for a Python engineer with interest in data (possible transition to data engineering or data science), working closely with data scientists and a small team. Critical skills: advanced Python, advanced Linux, intermediate-to-advanced SQL. Nice to have: experience with AWS or Heroku, Docker, exposure to big data tools like Spark or Hadoop and concepts like MapReduce.
