Rive's backend team builds and operates the systems behind the cloud platform, including core APIs, real-time collaboration, file storage, background processing, and some full-stack services for marketplace and customer-facing experiences. The role requires owning and delivering backend services for SaaS products and working independently in ambiguous situations, including direct customer communication when needed. Requirements include 8+ years of professional software engineering experience (backend and infrastructure), Node.js or strong multi-language experience, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), infrastructure as code, container orchestration, strong SQL skills, and excellent communication.
