Manticore Games

We are the developers of Core, a platform and community to build, share, and play online games. Core aims to make it easier for creators to develop and monetize games, similar to what YouTube did for online video, while gamers get “an endless arcade of high-quality, user-built games and worlds.” Our development tools are built on top of Epic’s Unreal Engine, and it offer premade assets that users can customize, as well as drop-down tools to build games. Custom avatars can work across different experiences, and these can be linked with in-game portals. This year we raised $100 million in Series C financing. The funding was led by XN, with participation from other leading strategic and institutional investors such as SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and LVP, as well as returning investors Benchmark, Bitkraft’s new Opportunity Fund, Correlation Ventures and Epic Games. To do the best work possible, we prefer engineers be based at HQ; however, remote work can be considered on a case by case basis.
