Description

Zeta is seeking a highly entrepreneurial VP of Sales & Business Development to build a 0-1 book of business across sponsor banks, BIN sponsors, agent banks, program managers, and fintechs. The role owns prospect identification, segmentation, prioritization, and outreach; opens doors with decision makers and ecosystem participants; builds qualified pipeline (with named prospects/buyers, documented use cases, estimated annual contract value, and next-step milestones); drives the full deal journey including discovery, qualification, solution framing, pitching, pricing inputs, business case development, stakeholder mapping, procurement support, contracting support, and closure. Responsibilities also include partnering with sales engineering to run demos, POCs, tabletop exercises, workshops, and discovery sessions; supporting contracting, onboarding, and early account activation; participating in events to acquire leads; maintaining rigorous deal discipline via accurate CRM hygiene and weekly pipeline reviews; and contributing market intelligence and pricing/product inputs. Success is measured in the first 18 months by qualified pipeline creation, establishing right to play (senior meetings, pre-sales engagements, active opportunities, RFP/opportunity participation), and establishing right to win (meaningful contribution to at least 2 USD 7-figure ARR client wins). Requirements include 15+ years of experience with 5+ years as a partner or sales leader building a multi-million dollar book of business in US financial services, experience selling to banks, regulated financial institutions, and fintechs, and strong relationships with decision makers at US sponsor banks and fintechs.
