Description
The ISAC Communications Officer is a part-time (0.6 FTE) temporary role (12 months), line managed by the CEO and working within a pre-existing team. Responsibilities include assisting with Member Society and Industry engagement, developing SOPs to operationalise ISAC’s communication strategy, populating social media accounts, redesigning the website, and providing cover for the CEO/Executive Officer as required. Duties cover member society engagement (researching contacts, maintaining dialogue, newsletters/updates, surveys, online engagement, reporting), liaison with commercial companies and maintaining/updating an industry database, managing communication plans (internal/external and newsletters), and acting as webmaster to update site content. Requirements include degree education, essential communications experience, experience in international organisations and/or professional societies or pharma/diagnostics (advantages), excellent English professional communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational/project management, proficiency with Microsoft Office/Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams plus content management systems and social media, ability to work from home or an existing office, and ability to travel (including to the CEO’s base in Aberdeen, UK).
