PatientWisdom is a platform to give patients a safe space to tell their personal story. Patients enter their joys, struggles and questions for the doctor, amongst other things, in the privacy of their home or on their mobile device. The patient's stories then appear inside their electronic medical chart for the doctor or care team to review before, or during, their appointment. PatientWisdom (https://www.patientwisdom.com) was recently acquired by NRC Health and is looking for a senior level javascript engineer to join the team. This position will have opportunities to mentor other engineers while making healthcare better for doctors and patients. • 5+ years’ experience working on a professional development team • 2+ years’ experience on web-based software delivery of client/customer-facing applications • Advanced fluency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS with React experience strongly preferred • Experience working in a collaborative environment using agile methodology, pair programming and test-driven development • Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field or equivalent experience • Strong understanding of frontend design patterns, data structures, and optimization strategies with emphasis on executing at scale • Experience designing and optimizing graphQL interfaces including data modeling • Familiarity with backend API frameworks (Ruby on Rails is preferred) • Strong skills in modern web development practices, including test-driven development
