The WMATA Capital Systems Intelligence Team is hiring! If you want to improve public transit in the DC Metro Area and love working with large data sets, this role would be a great fit for you. We use a mix of SQL, Python, and occasionally R to process and analyze vehicle location data, SmarTrip transaction information, incident data and more to inform projects and decisions at the agency. We're looking for someone with 4+ years of experience working in a data science or related role. This position will involve exploring new data sources and building data pipelines as we gain access to them, as well as analyzing existing processed data to inform projects and decision makers at the agency on how best to improve bus and rail service.
