Role requires experience with Elixir or Erlang in production (or a polyglot engineer able to pick up new languages quickly), solid understanding of Postgres (beyond basic CRUD), and hands-on distributed systems experience. Responsibilities include designing, building, and operating production Elixir/Erlang services; DB schema design, query optimization, and scaling strategies; collaborating on architecture decisions; shipping incrementally and learning from production; debugging across the stack; and improving tooling and processes. Remote-first (US only). Compensation and benefits: $150k–$175k salary + equity, health insurance, 401k. Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
