Oort is a venture-backed security and infrastructure startup based in Boston. We recently closed our seed funding round led by 645 Ventures and Bain Capital Ventures, and as such, we're expanding our engineering team. We're building the Oort Cloud: a global platform for delivering decentralized security services from thousands of sites around the world. If you're interested in distributed computing systems, networking, security, or just building robust microservices, we have no shortage of problems to solve in each of these domains. The Senior Software Engineer is a generalist role. In this role you'll be: * joining a small tight-knit team of six smart engineers * reporting directly to the Founder & CEO * designing and implementing a core set of microservices hosted on GCP * writing software primarily in golang, with some typescript and python or bash scripting on the side * deploying your code to Kubernetes and working with our DevOps lead to automate your deployments Whether you're at a big company currently and looking to make the leap into a startup role or a startup veteran looking for something interesting and new, Oort is at a stage where you will have an outsized impact on the trajectory of the company.
