Description

Context builds software and protocols to help people explore and interact with web3. Our flagship product is https://mint.fun, an aggregator of what NFTs are releasing on the primary right now on Ethereum. Let me try to explain to the HN audience why working on mint.fun is really interesting. We use Go and Postgres to index all NFT related Ethereum transactions. While NFTs have standards, there's no standard for purchasing an NFT – every NFT is contained in a smart contract, which is just a computer program! Without having access to source or ABI, we do a lot of clever tricks like tracing (but with specific optimizations to make it 100x faster) to intuit how to interact with NFT contracts. Put differently, we generate UI for smart contracts without having source code. The current way we measure our success is based on our market share of new NFTs minted on Ethereum, and a meaningful % of all new NFTs on Ethereum are minted from our interface. We're looking for infrastructure engineers who love reverse engineering and getting their hands dirty on meaningful projects. Lots of fun tricks to make our product work well, such as using Postgres partitions to query large datasets instantly, and as alluded to before, tracing Ethereum function calls 100x faster than the status quo. Context is a small team (4 people) and we've raised $19.5m. We have years of runway and we're looking to grow our team slowly and thoughtfully. Please reach out if these problems sound interesting to you - we have a lot to build and we can help you learn if you're newer to blockchain related problems. If you're interested, please email jobs@context.app with code that you're proud of.
