We chatted with Software Engineering Director Hugo du Plooy in our San Jose office and he told us what something surprising: Roku’s success is all based on working together as a team rather than as a collection of egos. In this role you will work as a key member of Data Activation team. You will design, develop, and operate components of our system to create a privacy compliant and performant way to manage data using big data technologies like Druid, Map-Reduce, Hive/Presto, Kafka, Spark, and Aerospike. You’ll also participate in the creation of REST APIs for accessing the system by 3rd parties.
