The Trade Desk is the world’s leading programmatic advertising Demand Side Platform (DSP). We handle tens of millions of requests/sec and many petabytes of data across our worldwide platform. We’re looking for Site Reliability Engineers that like to automate things. As we grow, we need more self-service infrastructure tools. We are building platforms and eliminating toil. We believe SREs are developers that like to work on infrastructure, operational, or security problems. Like many companies, we’re in the midst of migrating to tools like Kubernetes, but we’re less focused on experience and more interested in motivated, quick learners to join one of our Production Engineering teams. We don’t prescribe to one dogma: you will have the opportunity to work on different platforms for different use cases, whether it is our bare-metal datacenters for high-scale low-latency performance at low cost, AWS for data challenges, Azure for unique business requirements, or Alibaba Cloud to help grow our business in China. We evaluate for design experience, coding ability, inquisitiveness, and motivation. We’re remote friendly for the right (senior) candidates but bias to offices otherwise.
