Since statsbomb.com launched in 2013, it has continually been at the forefront of football/soccer analytics. Founded in 2017, StatsBomb Services takes this mountain of football research and statistical expertise and offers it directly to clubs and other customers around the world. We build web-based analysis tools as well as selling our own football event data product and offering direct consultancy. Our customers include Champions League finalists, title winners in the big 5 leagues, teams at all levels of the English football pyramid, as well as gambling and media companies. We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to help extend and maintain our core data platform and analytics infrastructure. If you're an architect or lead developer with extensive JVM (particularly Clojure, but Java/Scala/Kotlin all fine), Postgres and stream processing experience, and an interest in stats, machine learning and computer vision, please get in touch.
