Digital Configuration SpecialistDescription
My employer is looking for a Digital Configuration Specialist. We manage corporate events for large businesses and we use a large variety of event registration and event content platforms to do so. This role will be the person who learns these platforms inside and out, how to configure them, how to collect and manage the data we need from registrants, and to style them with HTML and CSS. Good JavaScript and jQuery knowledge is also important because we're often adding custom behavior to these platforms on top of what they already provide. Opus has a great team, the team this role is on specifically is very supportive and hard working has some smart, talented, experienced people on it. You're likely not going to be making websites from scratch. The vast majority of the work will be customizing existing templates provided by platforms. This can get especially complex in many ways, but it's stuff you really just have to learn by doing. Because of this, I think this role is well suited for someone with strong HTML/CSS/JS skills but doesn't necessarily have a lot of work history with that tech and isn't necessarily an established developer. I would recommend having a portfolio of some stuff you've built to demonstrate your skills, and be prepared to talk about it.
