Optiver is a leading trading firm driven by technology with over one thousand employees globally. We pioneer our own trading strategies and systems using clean code and sophisticated technology, running a global network with thousands of high-performance low-latency applications that solve problems in nanoseconds. Our Linux Team ensures our trading servers work so we can trade. They establish that our production environment works optimally by deploying, maintaining, monitoring and operating a fleet of UNIX servers to its highest possible performance. In a nutshell, we provide, install and maintain over 1800 physical servers on 15 colocations, and debug tricky issues that pop up when you are pushing the limits of compute & networking. You'd be working on squeezing the last bit of performance out of bare-metal servers (with fancy equipment to measure microsecond/nanosecond variation) and on the other hand, making our provisioning at all layers of the stack smoother and easier for users.
