Upstart was founded in 2012, and IPO'd this year. Upstart's mission is to enable effortless credit based on true risk. In a nutshell, that means we treat people as more than a credit score. We are in a period of exponential growth with the funds to back it up. This has created a large number of new product initiatives and fun scaling challenges as our engineering team and users continue to grow. I am on the Front-end Platform team, where we're working to build a solid foundation for product teams as they develop, test, and ship front-end applications.
