Help build the world’s most advanced aerospace fasteners. As an Engineering Analyst on the Cherry Aerospace and SPS Technologies team, you’ll pull together raw data from disparate sources, build dashboards and one-off reports, and create a culture of data-informed decision making. Using your indomitable spirit, consuming passion for Excel, and technological acumen, you will exploit the data we have, figure out the data we need, and build projects to collect the data that doesn’t exist yet. Responsibilities: Lead efforts to assess efficiency of operational processes, improve production methods, and build reports to inform day-to-day decision making. Reports to Director of Engineering. Create reports and dashboards to improve business and engineering processes. Provide technical leadership for the data pipeline across the company. Identify, research, and resolve technical problems by building decision-making support tools. Manage, plan, implement, and lead projects to successful delivery. Figure out the right questions to ask to pull together information and identify important trends. Example of real projects: Working with manufacturing engineers, collect real-time load curve data from manufacturing assets to determine tool life, machine capability, and dimensional consistency using Power BI. Work with the supply chain director to build an order dashboard to support weekly sales, operations, and planning activities in Excel. Inform multi-million dollar investment decisions by investigating and understanding the nuances of operational data and metrics in a SQL Server data warehouse. Skills & Traits: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extremely clear and logical thinking, such as that demonstrated by mastery of a programming language (e.g. Python, C#, Go, SQL, Power Query). Working knowledge of relational databases. Independent, organized, and self-starting with strong project management skills. Highly tolerant of ambiguity. Strong desire to influence production decisions and outcomes.
