Responsibilities
- Work on challenging infrastructure problems across distributed systems and media processing at immense scale.
- Build and maintain backend systems for an AI-native agentic orchestration system coordinating production pipelines end to end.
- Design and implement services that interface with distributed storage systems to maximize throughput and reliability
- Architect and implement backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
- Optimize databases and data flows for high availability and performance
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and infra teams to deliver end-to-end features
- Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Requirements
- Familiar with Go (Golang).
- Familiar with PostgreSQL.
- Familiar with distributed systems.
- Familiar with distributed filesystems (e.g. HDFS, Ceph).
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Proficiency in Golang, TypeScript, Python
- Experience with distributed filesystems, HPC storage, or large-scale I/O optimization is a strong plus
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and caching systems (Redis)
- Understanding of distributed systems, messaging/queues, and API design
- Experience with cloud-native environments (AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes)

Post Up is building an agentic orchestration system for content production, coordinating production pipelines end to end and turning post-production workflows into a persistent graph of assets and transformations. The system is deterministic, verifiable, and nearly instant at scale, powered by a high-performance compute layer. The role is for a founding senior backend engineer working on genuinely challenging infrastructure problems across distributed systems and media processing at immense scale. Stack includes on-prem, HPC clusters, distributed storage systems, GPU pipelines, and real-time video compute. Familiarity requested with Golang and Postgres, distributed systems, and distributed filesystems (e.g. HDFS, Ceph).
