SolStar Finance is creating a cryptocurrency community token trading platform to bring social tokens to Discord communities. Built on a high efficiency blockchain technology, Solana, we can provide high throughput with fractions of a cent fees to community-centered liquid fungible markets. Founded in May 2021 and based in San Francisco, SolStar Finance successfully raised a seed-stage fundraising round at the beginning of March led by Angel Squad and its collaborative partners. Our founding team comprises software engineers from Google and YC startups. This is a great role for somebody who loves learning new technologies, high impact software engineering, and building full features – from DB to service and service to user interface, with help and support along the way. This is the first engineering-hire outside the founding team, you’ll be working alongside myself to build out important features. We do weekly tech updates and announcements, so there are opportunities to become a technical voice in our community of over 10,000 Discord members. Tech stack includes: NextJS, Typescript, Node, React, Linux, Postgres, Solana blockchain, AWS, PrismaJS. Areas of interest include: API integration, tests, cryptography, written communication. Role responsibilities include: - Writing straight forward and readable code for web app and service worker features. - Relational database design and implementation with PrismaJS - Submitting PR's and participating in peer review - Deploying through CI/CD pipeline - Updating status on tasks - Stand up every other day (M/W/F) Benefits: - Unlimited PTO, 20 days required - We’re a small team and cannot provide medical benefits or retirement options at this time. - 100% remote and flexible team
