The Hakai Institute conducts leading-edge, long-term scientific research on the coastal margin of British Columbia, Canada. Our set of interlocking programs blend technology and science to better understand the coastal margin of BC and beyond. We eschew artificial boundaries both scientific and geographic, as our interdisciplinary teams work from ice fields to watersheds to the nearshore and coastal oceans.
